Septic System Funding/Loans

Grants

Waseca County has been awarded funding through the Clean Water, Land & Legacy Amendment administered by Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources.  The Septic Treatment Systems Upgrade grant assists landowners with the financial costs that are required to design, install, repair, and replace a SSTS on residential properties that have been deemed noncompliant.  To obtain information, please contact:

Loans

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture – Best Management Practices (Ag-BMP) Loan Program provides low-interest financing for noncompliant systems, providing certain eligibility requirements are met.   Loans are not available for SSTS that have already been installed.
