Businesses that sell automotive (lead acid) batteries accept used batteries for recycling. The Solid Waste and Recycling Center also accepts vehicle batteries for recycling for no charge.
Used Motor Oil and Motor Oil Filters
Waseca County Solid Waste and Recycling Center has a self-serve tank for used oil which may be used by the public at no charge. Oil containers are also disposed of here. Full service auto centers often accept used oil as well. We accept used oil filters for a fee of $1/each filter.
All area hardware stores accept fluorescent bulbs for recycling. No charge for bulb disposal to County residents. Businesses should call for our price per bulb.
These are accepted for recycling at the Waseca County Solid Waste and Recycling Center, and by many appliance dealers. Some garbage haulers accept appliances for recycling as well. Waseca County Solid Waste and Recycling Center charges a fee per appliance. Included are washers, dryers, dishwashers, hot water heaters, garbage disposals, trash compactors, microwave ovens, stoves, air conditioners, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, heat pumps, and furnaces.
